Katie Batten, CMP

Director, Strategic Event Marketing, Okta

Katie currently leads the Customer Portfolio team at Okta, directing end-to-end strategy and execution for Oktane, Okta’s annual customer conference, and the global Okta City Tour series. Always drawn to the data side of events, audience acquisition is her favorite piece — where she (shamelessly) geeks out on all things numbers. Katie sees events as a giant puzzle: you must think strategically, sometimes make decisions without all of the pieces, anticipate the unknown, and always be 10 steps ahead.

In addition to her five years (and counting!) at Okta, Katie’s 13+ year career in events includes previously leading the corporate and trade show event strategies at Jive Software and Achievers in the Bay Area, and HRCI in Northern Virginia. She is originally from Portland, OR, and her passions include travel, sports (Go Blazers!), and all things Disney. She currently resides in the Bay Area and holds an MTA from The George Washington University.
