Discover why Philadelphia was the only U.S. city included in National Geographic’s Top 25 most exciting destinations to visit in 2020!

Sure, you know Philadelphia for its history. But it’s just a small part of what makes us such an exciting and memorable destination. Now is the time to rediscover this American classic.

Convenient – Getting here’s a breeze, no matter where your attendees call home. Philadelphia International Airport has over 900 daily non-stop flights serving 146 airports worldwide. Amtrak pulls into our 30th Street Station — just a few blocks from Center City. And we’re in the middle of the Northeast Corridor, with plenty of parking.

Variety – With over 13,500 hotel rooms within a 25-minute walk of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and more being added each year, Philadelphia offers choices for large and small meetings. We continue to add new hotels and meeting venues. Just this fall, we welcomed the Four Seasons, The Notary Hotel and the Marriot Old City (formerly the Sheraton). Coming soon – the W and Element Hotels will open in early 2020.

Venues – Philadelphia offers unexpected special event spaces for meetings of all types and sizes. The Pennsylvania Convention Center features over one million square feet of saleable space and one of the largest convention center ballrooms on the East Coast. Looking for something bigger – Philadelphia is home to several arenas that seat from 2,500-20,000 within 4 miles of the Convention Center.

Experiential – Want to wow your attendees? Philadelphia boasts countless historic buildings, museums, art galleries and attractions that double as special event venues. From the Franklin Institute Science Museum to The Met Philadelphia to new and classic restaurants, your attendees will leave your meeting raving about their experience.

Testimonials

"A heavy concentration of our members are located along the east coast and Philadelphia is the perfect city for our meeting—easy to get to, great meeting space, great walkable hotel package, great restaurants. We found a city that wanted to make sure we had a great experience and a center that really pulled together and delivered. It was an amazing week for us!"

~Anna Keller
Director of Convention Services, American Public Health Association

"There’s a lot of glimmer in Philadelphia right now: vibrant murals and glinting metalworks, multihued mosaics and kaleidoscopic light installations, art collectives in garages, and—heaven help my nonna—a traditionally Italian neighborhood famous for cheesesteaks now sprouting vegan-punk-metal coffeehouses."

2019

"Philadelphia packs a big punch of history, diversity and recreation into a walkable and friendly destination. The CVB have connected us with the right suppliers, vendors, community organizations and local leaders who have done an exceptional job welcoming us and our audience to this great city and ensuring an overall amazing experience throughout our time here. We look forward to continuing to partner together for future events."
