Growing up in a city like Dubai, the hospitality industry is hard to avoid. I was always intrigued by it, yet embarked on a career in Graphic Design, as the Arts run generations-deep in my family. It was only after working for more than a decade as a designer, that I discovered that being an event manager was an actual career path.
Long story short, I found myself switching careers about 3 years ago. The great thing about working at OSIsoft is that our company culture allows us to explore and develop our interests. As a result, I was able to stay with the company as I embarked onto my new role.
I haven’t looked back since. Since joining the Global Events team, I have had the opportunity to be a part of planning internal & external events in meticulous detail. From flying out to an event on day 1 of the new job, to taking over managing that same program the following year, it has been a rollercoaster of learning and growing. And I would be remiss not to mention my amazing colleagues and mentors (and fellow-CEMA members) Stefanie Ordoveza and Jennifer Papenfuss, who continue to guide me as I strive to excel as an event professional. The OSIsoft-CEMA relationship has been an invaluable resource for our team, and I look forward to connecting with more of you at future events in the years to come!
