The Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA) had an opportunity to attend this never before offered behind-the-scenes tour of the NFL Draft in Dallas, Texas. CEMA members came to  Dallas in  April, where everything really is bigger. CEMA members learned  from marketing peers how to manage a highly anticipated nationally televised event. The Draft theatre will be the largest ever with over 23,000 attendees currently expected (think really big keynote) and over 250,000 attendees projected to attend the Draft Experience and Free Football Festival to see best of breed interactive experiential marketing activations (think really big expo hall). As event marketers we are obsessed with the attendee experience so come and learn from the pros- the NFL, and the VisitDallas team who will be managing what is anticipated to be the biggest NFL Draft EVER held.

In addition to the behind the scenes tour, where you’ll get up on the stage, see back of house productions including the green room, A/V, etc., CEMA is proud to offer its attendees, an interactive discussion with a panel of management team members who will provide you insightful best practices. Matt Shapiro, from the NFL; Monica Paul from VisitDallas Sport Commission; Alexandra Tuel, Account Director, The Marketing Arm; AT&T Management; Event Security Management. Value- priceless.

NFL Draft Backgroud: The Dallas Cowboys will host the upcoming NFL Draft at AT&T Stadium. The first time this event will take place inside an NFL stadium. The 2018 NFL will feature plenty of intrigue surrounding this year’s talented NFL prospects. Thursday, April 26, will be the start of a draft loaded with big talent, including four quarterbacks projected to all be selected in the top half of the first round. The NFL said the draft site will use the AT&T Stadium field, stands and outdoor plazas, where the NFL Draft Experience festival will take place. The three-day event will again be televised live by ESPN. The draft site will encompass the field, stands, and outdoor plazas, creating an all-encompassing atmosphere and enabling more fans than ever before to watch their favorite team’s selections.

Getting FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)? You should be.

As a special bonus our CEMA friends at VisitDallas will host a special event for our attendees on Thursday. We’ll start with a private tour of the state-of-the-art new Dallas Cowboy training center, The Star. No one outdoes Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys World Corporate Headquarters and The Star in Frisco is proof. It is a destination created to allow fans to connect with the team in ways they have never imagined. Talk about corporate headquarter visitor experiences! Then we’ll be whisked off to the John F. Kennedy Memorial and historical tour. We’ll then return for the Happiest Hour and then on to the main event- the1st round of the NFL Draft. If you still have any room for excitement, our group will enjoy the Nightlife (Uptown) known for its eclectic bar and restaurant scene and The Deep Ellum Brewing Company. The entertainment district known for its vibrant street murals, quirky art galleries and long-time concert venues for indie and blues. Brewpubs, cocktail bars and Tex-Mex eateries draw a boisterous crowd on weekends, while edgy, experimental drama dominates the program at the time-tested Undermain Theatre, in a warehouse basement.  Attendees received 7 CMP credits.
